José,
Thank you very much for the new examples you are posting there.
I have a question about the Speech API, do you know if we could use another diphtong dictionary matching a national language (stange to hear french words with the US/English accent ;D )
Added:
Also where can we find a list of the voices available?
Oops:
Didn't see that you posted it already, thank you :)
...
There is an SpeechSDK51LangPack.exe file here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5e86ec97-40a7-453f-b0ee-6583171b4530&displaylang=en , although I don't know what it contains.
BTW I often post examples to make them available to myself when I no longer remember how something is done. Changing the voice is a question often asked, and it is not an easy task because, surprisingly, there is not any property or method to do it. I have made it as easy as SpSetVoice(pISpVoice, "Microsoft Mary"), but to achieve it I have needed to write several wrapper functions that you can find in the sapiutils.inc file that I have posted today as an update of the WINAPI files.
Ok, thank you, i am downloading the latest WINAPI files with the new SAPIUTILS.INC
José,
For Spanish and French, i found that one:
http://www.microsoft.com/speech/download/default.mspx (http://www.microsoft.com/speech/download/default.mspx)
Spanish (U.S.). Ouch! Must be Spanglish :) Thanks for the link.
Patrice,
To make Vista speak french, the best I've heard is Virginie.
Search for RSSolo4French.zip on the net.
It's a high quality product and best of all it's free.
One place you can download it from is...
http://nc.toofiles.com/fr/oip/documents/zip/rssolo4french.html
Happy listening with Virginie.
Pierre
