PB in your java?

This is over my head but it sounds fun. You can use ordinary dll's with java using the jni api. Ok, that means that you can use pb with java right? Has anybody done this? Right now I have trivial code from a book that I have compiled in visual c++ to a dll (from java) but they are not talking yet. When I get java to c dll working then java to pb dll should work. Before anybody says it, yes, I will try a java site and ask them because i know this is not a java forum.
